The Ultimate Liberator!

For the seekers of knowledge
Can there be a knowledge?
better than
The Knowledge of The Divine, Shri Rama!

The one who liberated
Even the blades of grasses
And all the swarms of ants

Leaving none behind
That ever existed
In the Good City of Ayodhya

And placed them in
An exotic heaven
Created exclusively for them
By the Great Grandshire Brahma!

The twin-syllable, Rama
When a devotee exalts!
The Birth-Death cycle
It permanently halts

Goodness and Wealth
It everyday brings
Sin and poverty
It cleanses and shrinks

Gentleness Strength Humility Bravery
Valour Talent Prowess Success
Memory Trustworthiness Heroism Genuinity
Such adorable qualities and so much more

My Lord's Story: Goodness Incarnate

Ramayanam in English poetry.

The Supreme Lord of the Universe was once born on this earth as a Human Being, faced challenges and had His share of pain and pleasure going through both good and bad times like any of us. Like any of us He too, took His turn in laughter and cry.

This humility of The Lord, that makes Him come down to earth and share with us our difficulties to show us a way to handle them is what I admire in Him. This quality of Him, makes me surrender to Him unconditionally and makes me want to sing His Glory on and on and on.

My Lord's Story is an out pour of my devotion that seeps out in gratitude for the pains He took to be a lighthouse for us, to cross the ocean of Samsara.

Musings of a devotee

Like a lion in it's cave
Lord Rama, Royal, sits in my heart!
Like the mighty ocean and a wave
There is nothing that can set us apart

I am a wave that arose on Him
I am a wave that exists on Him
I am a wave that moves on Him
I am a wave that dies on Him

Ram is the one who made me arose
Ram is the one who provides the force
Ram is the one who'll take me back
Ram is the one who knows the knack

Ram is the power that conquers all
Ram is the power that subdues none
The joy of my heart is multi fold
When unto my ears, his glory is told

I always think of His Lotus Feet
Surrender to which is no defeat
I preciously keep them on my lap
I caress them, He takes a nap

As he stands up after the rest
I hug his legs, close to my chest
Touch His Feet with my lucky head
In salutations to the Supreme Head

Lord Rama is my innermost core
Driving me in every chore
Won't I be a mat on His floor?
Or a servant who can stand by His door?

With my shirt, I'll wipe His Footwear clean
Thinking, 'If only, in it's place, I had been?!'
Bearing His Weight, all on me
Hugging His Feet, wherever He be

I surrendered to Him for His Dignity
Became His slave for His Sanctity
I am happy to be His eternal slave
Denied for which, I would prefer the grave

Chanting His name, I'll spend my life
Refraining myself from material strife
Unlearning all the non-sense I learned
Exhausting all the karma I earned

I'll empty myself chanting His name
Preferring zero-value in the number game
All I want is the inner space
And a heart that can contain Divine Grace!

Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram Om
Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram
Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram Om
Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram

I am getting tears...
I feel like Hanuman wrote this poem.

''I always think of His Lotus Feet
Surrender to which is no defeat
I preciously keep them on my lap
I Caress them, He takes a nap

As he stands up after the rest
I hug his legs, close to my chest
Touch His feet with my lucky head
In salutations to the Supreme Head

With my shirt, I'll wipe His footwear clean
Thinking, 'If only, in it's place, I had been?!'
Bearing His weight all on me
Hugging His feet, where ever he be''

The above verses bring the thought of Hanuman to me with tears.
I wonder whether this poem is written by Ramesh or Hanuman.

I won't tell Wonderful, superb, nice, devotional, spiritual, etc.I have to find new word to express my feeling. With tears now I am telling Sri Rama Jeyam!

This picture of Baratha is suitable for this poem :)
He is a great devotee of Lord Rama.
His devotion is great & pure.

Thank you very much for the heart
felt comment.

I know u'll like this.

Hanuman ji is the one who inspired me into worshiping Lord Rama by coming into my dream quiet often.

Bharatha, words fail to sing his praise. In Ramayana when Bharatha enters the scene after Lord Rama leaves for the forest,a perfect demonstration for selflessness.
