The Ultimate Liberator!

For the seekers of knowledge
Can there be a knowledge?
better than
The Knowledge of The Divine, Shri Rama!

The one who liberated
Even the blades of grasses
And all the swarms of ants

Leaving none behind
That ever existed
In the Good City of Ayodhya

And placed them in
An exotic heaven
Created exclusively for them
By the Great Grandshire Brahma!

-Nammazhvaar

Ramayanam is Agriculture
Bhagavatham is Harvest

The twin-syllable, Rama
When a devotee exalts!
The Birth-Death cycle
It permanently halts

Goodness and Wealth
It everyday brings
Sin and poverty
It cleanses and shrinks

-Kambar

Goodness Honesty Sweetness Simplicity
Gentleness Strength Humility Bravery
Valour Talent Prowess Success
Memory Trustworthiness Heroism Genuinity
Such adorable qualities and so much more
By chanting Rama's name you will score!

My Lord's Story: Goodness Incarnate

Ramayanam in English poetry.

The Supreme Lord of the Universe was once born on this earth as a Human Being, faced challenges and had His share of pain and pleasure going through both good and bad times like any of us. Like any of us He too, took His turn in laughter and cry.

This humility of The Lord, that makes Him come down to earth and share with us our difficulties to show us a way to handle them is what I admire in Him. This quality of Him, makes me surrender to Him unconditionally and makes me want to sing His Glory on and on and on.

My Lord's Story is an out pour of my devotion that seeps out in gratitude for the pains He took to be a lighthouse for us, to cross the ocean of Samsara.

Shri Rama's Precious Feet

Feet! What Feet! These! Shri Rama's Feet!
Sins deplete at the thought of these Feet
Sorrows become Joy, remembering these Feet
Impeccable Hanuman, Praises these Feet!

For the surrendered, as a Fort, standeth These Feet
The wise-men learn, Humility lesson, at These Feet
The Ego salt, by flowing Love, dissolves at These Feet
Good Hanuman, with His Eyes, Relishes These Feet!

With Coral like nails, shineth These Feet
Liberation to its worshippers, granteth These Feet
Like arrow-leaf pond-weed flowers, gloweth These Feet
Gigantic Hanuman, bows down to These Feet

Orderly fingers add beauty to These Feet
All around the edges, pinkish are These Feet
Beautiful lines decorate, The Palm of These Feet
In Devoted Hanuman's mind, steady are These Feet

On Kausalya's lap, These Feet have slept
On Dasaratha's chest, These Feet have stepped
Lakshman with Love, massages these Feet
Hanuman, with silk, wipes These Feet!

Bharatha and Shathrughna with Love, Kiss These Feet
To be their own, all devotees, claim These Feet
Rama's beloved Sita, everyday wakes upon These Feet
Hanuman Happily and Gently, cracks knuckles for These Feet!

Akalya's sins vanished at a touch of These Feet
Viratha was liberated by a stamp of These Feet
As they remove sins, Highly Popular, are These Feet
Hanuman with His Palms, upholds These Feet!

While Ahalya was liberated, Vishwamitra praised These Feet
Like a sea-drunken blackish cloud, dark are These Feet!
In search of a devotee named Sabhari, These Feet have walked
At These Feet, Hanuman's mind and attention are always locked!

These Feet, to Bharatha, their sandals they gave
In their worshipper's life, path of Goodness, they pave
Destroying arrogance, they make the soul happy and light
With a melted heart and wetted eyes, Hanuman grips them tight!

Vibheeshana with faith, surrendered Himself at These Feet
As they shun none, there is rising glory, for These Feet
To get Sugreeva's faith, Dhundhubhi's carcass was flung by These Feet
Hanuman to attain wisdom, like a book, studied These Feet

None is forced to worship These Feet
Those who worship are precious to These Feet
From the path of virtue,These Feet never sway
In Hanuman's memory, These Feet always stay

At These Feet, all souls finally reach
These Feet grant liberation, definitely to each
The bondage of Maya, These Feet, makes them wear
These Feet like a crown, Hanuman does wear!
