The Ultimate Liberator!

For the seekers of knowledge
Can there be a knowledge?
better than
The Knowledge of The Divine, Shri Rama!

The one who liberated
Even the blades of grasses
And all the swarms of ants

Leaving none behind
That ever existed
In the Good City of Ayodhya

And placed them in
An exotic heaven
Created exclusively for them
By the Great Grandshire Brahma!

My Lord's Story: Goodness Incarnate

Ramayanam in English poetry.

The Supreme Lord of the Universe was once born on this earth as a Human Being, faced challenges and had His share of pain and pleasure going through both good and bad times like any of us. Like any of us He too, took His turn in laughter and cry.

This humility of The Lord, that makes Him come down to earth and share with us our difficulties to show us a way to handle them is what I admire in Him. This quality of Him, makes me surrender to Him unconditionally and makes me want to sing His Glory on and on and on.

My Lord's Story is an out pour of my devotion that seeps out in gratitude for the pains He took to be a lighthouse for us, to cross the ocean of Samsara.

Kuzhasekara Azhwaar's Lullaby for Our Baby Lord!

Baby Ramar of the Vaduvoor Temple, relishing His Butter. The Upper one is the Front view and the Lower one is the back view. His Holy Feet, can be seen in the back view! Jai Shri BaalRaam! Jai Jai Shri BaalRaam!!

Today is Rama Navami.
The Birth Day
Of my Sweet and Great Lord, Shri Rama!

He was named Shri Ramachandra
by Vashishta, His Preceptor.
Meaning,
Sustainer of Goodness
And Cool
Like the Moon

Vashishta named Him so
As Vashishta knew
The baby He was naming was
The Incarnation of Goodness....

And that He would
Touch the hearts of people
Where ever He goes

And Making
His Preceptor's faith
Always True

Shri Ramachandra touched
The Hearts of all
Who encountered Him

Even His greatest foe
Folded His palms
And bowed unto Him
With sincere reverence

Even today
Humans who
read His Story
cannot be...
But to be touched by it!

For Being His Devotee
For Being His Slave
For Being His Son
For Being His Student
For Being His Fan

I do not know
how to thank
Out of my Gratitude,
This is my resolve!

The Flame, My Soul
Will ever Burn and Glow
Only to spread His Fame
Till it exhausts!!

Jai Shri Ram! Jai Jai Shri Ram!!

May His Glory, Shine like the Sun
And May this world, Become Heaven!!

Jai Shri Ram! Jai Jai Shri Ram!!

Today Baby Rama gave me a wonderful Gift for His Birth Day!
I spent the day, Translating Kulasekara Aazhwaar's Lullaby for our Baby Lord Shri Rama!

Praising Kulasekara Azhwaar's Feet, I present them here! May all those who read this, be blessed by Baby Rama with Unlimited Happiness! Jai Shri BaalRaam! Jai Jai Shri BaalRaam!!

Kuzhasekara Azhwaar's Lullaby for Our Baby Lord!

Eternally Glorious is Kausalya's womb
As precious as Your Kausthubha Gem!
And in it, You came as a boon!
Like, in darkness, that comes, a moon!

Like water and tears dripping drop by drop
Lanka's King's crowns! You made them drop!
Impenetrable are the fortifications imparted with Gold
Of the Kannapuram City, with glories untold!

In Kannapuram City, alias City with Eyes
Like the pupil in it, Your presence lies!
Oh! Pupil of my eye and my Sweet Ambrosia
Sleep in bliss! Oh! Scion of Raghuvamsya!!

Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! 1
---------------------------------------------------------
On top of a lotus You created the worlds
You bent Your bow Your Mighty arm holds
You bent it to Draw, Not arrows to kill
But only to shake Mighty Tataka's Will!

My eyes' Pupil, Oh! Rama
And to The City with Eyes!
People gift You their minds
As You're so wonderful and nice!

Oh! Raghava You Rule All, directions, eight!
Please do sleep It has become late!
Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! 2
-----------------------------------------------------

Kausalya! Known for
Her aromatic hair
Gifted to Her in-laws
You, as their heir!

Oh! Son-in-law of Janaka
Whose, Eternal Glory, is Grand!

Like a continuum of Your Father
You, did strongly Stand!

My eyes' Pupil, Oh! Rama
And to The City with Eyes!
Whose waters are sacred and chiller
Than the Ganges, with ice!

Oh! Sweet Ambrosia
For my clan!
Please do Sleep
While I Fan!

Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! 3
------------------------------------------------------

Oh! Creator of The Creator!
Whom You created on a Flower
As the first Son of Dasaratha
You stand tall like a Tower!

Oh! Handsome Groom
To, Mythili, The Bride
You since then became
City, Mithila's Pride

My eyes' Pupil, Oh! Rama
And to The City with Eyes!
In which You always hear
Humming Bees! So Nice!

Playing with bow and arrows
So Strong are Your arms
Please do relax and sleep
Till the Sun rises, and warms

Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! 4
-----------------------------------------------------

To Bharatha!
You gifted Your wealth
And Your right to Rule!

With Lakshman!
Towards the jungle
You walked away, Cool!

Your Chest! Though Strong
Like majestic mountains
Are Ruled and Flourished
By Sita's Love-Fountains!

For, The City with Eyes!
You're The King of Kings!
Your long hair is crowned
With Flowers in strings!

Gently and Slowly
Slip into Your Sleep!
Your cradle in Rhythm
I will rock and keep!

Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! 5
-------------------------------------------------

Towards the Jungle
You did Walk!
Your beloveds in crowds
All did walk!

Everything in life
For those who have lost
The Ultimate resort
You are their last

Oh! Lord!
Of the Ayodhya City!
Beloved God
Of the weak and Pity!

Your Step-Mother's words
Were very small-minded
Yet, You accepted them
As You are Broad-Minded

My eyes' Pupil, Oh! Rama
And to The City with Eyes!
In which do reside
The learned and wise!

Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! 6

-------------------------------------------------

As a baby, on a banyan leaf
You did float!
Swallowing the whole world
You did gloat!

The elder monkey Vali
You did kill
And crowned good Sugriva
With your will

My eyes' Pupil, Oh! Rama
And to The City with Eyes!
On whose shores fall Gems
With every wind and wave rise!

Oh! Dear Lord!
Of Thirunagari City!
Oh! Dear Lord!
Of Ayodhya City!

Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! 7

--------------------------------------------------

Using mighty mountains
You constructed a bridge
The mighty wall-fortified Lanka
You destroyed to the edge

You churned the waves
Of the mighty Milk-Sea
You helped the Devas eat
The Ambrosia, with glee

My eyes' Pupil, Oh! Rama
And to The City with Eyes!
In which live expert artists
Who are it's invaluable prize

Oh! Warrior!
Mighty Archer with skill!
Oh! Labourer!
Who serves with selfless will!

Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! 8

-------------------------------------------------

Dasaratha's Aromatic
Hair Fell long and low!
You made His Clan's Glory
Rise high and glow!

You took a single bow
And bent it, to thread
You made Fortified-Lanka
Lay low in a shred!

My eyes' Pupil, Oh! Rama
And to The City with Eyes!
In whose swamps bloom flowers
Bright like stars! For our eyes!

Oh! Heart-beat
Of Your Brothers', three!
Oh! Embracing Heart
For Your Brothers', three!

Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! 9
------------------------------------------------

You created beings
of Divine Status
You created beings
of Non-Divine Status

Royally in Shri Rangam
You do sleep
And people do come
To worship Your Feet!

My eyes' Pupil, Oh! Rama
And to The City with Eyes!
Into which and out
The Kaviri swiftly flies!

Your arrows and bow
Make your enemies scare
To disturb Your sleep
They will not dare

Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo!
Thaa Le Lo! Thaa Le Lo! Shri Rama Thaa Le Lo! 10
------------------------------------------------------
Impenetrable are the fortifications imparted with Gold
Of the Kannapuram City, with glories untold!
It's King KulaShekara, a brutal warrior
And, expert in using, at war His spear!

Sang Lullabies to His Lord!
The Ruler of His Heart!
In an ancient language, Tamil, Sweet
With impeccable Grammar, very neat!

Addressing His Lord
as His Pupil and eyes!
And that, The Lord is the same
to His City with Eyes!

Those who ever sing
These lullabies
Enter the Lord's Heart
Without token or fees! 11

Jai Shri Ram!
Jai Jai Shri Ram!
